Marvin Edeas - Ncbi

Marvin Edeas (site web : nih) worked in the Department of Pulmonary Diseases at Armand Trousseau Hospital in the early 90's. The superoxide dismutase enzymes (SOD) resting at the root of his work, he, together with Joe McCord, organised the very first world congress on this topic at the Pasteur Institute. In 1998, Marvin Edeas acquired his doctorate from Antoine Béclère Hospital on HIV infections in symptomless patients.

Marvin Edeas outlined the impact of oxidative stress and co-infections in patients with HIV at the Paris Descartes University. Sidaction rewarded Marvin Edeas for his work with HIV. The latency mechanisms of the HIV virus in patients who are HIV positive, and the activation factors, is a field which he invested six years studying at Antoine Béclère Hospital.

Marvin Edeas - Visiting Professor at the Cochin Institute

Marvin Edeas became a part of a team in control of oxidative stress, inflammation and cell proliferation. He holds clinical studies which review how microbiota metabolites impact the mitochondrial activity of nephrology patients. Since 2016, Marvin Edeas has been associated with the Paris Descartes University (Cochin Institute) as a visiting professor.

Marvin Edeas chairs numerous committees, including that of the Congress on Targeting Mitochondria, Microbiota, Non-invasive Markers in Various Chronic Pathologies and Glycation & Maillard Reaction. Marvin Edeas co-edits the Mitochondria Society's company magazine and also chairs its annual congress, as a founder and former Chair. His yearly congress, Paris Redox, is quite logically led by the Chair of the International Society of Antioxidants.

Marvin Edeas - Chair of the French Society (SFA) and International Society of Antioxidants (ISANH) and Founder of the World Mitochondria Society (WMS)

The well established French Society of Antioxidants is chaired by Marvin Edeas. He, the SFA and ISANH work to transfer basic research to real applications whether clinical, pharmaceutical, nutritional or cosmetic. Marvin Edeas is founder and Chair of the ISANH (International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition & Health) which was created in 1998.

The breakthroughs Marvin Edeas has made have proved to hold a real-world application. Using an oyster enzyme hydrolyzate in a composition that gets rid of free radicals and modulates oxidative stress is what the patents he filed are all about. He succeeded in distinguishing two Nrf-2 modulators isolated from peptides and proteins, which can stimulate the antioxidant system of defence. Marvin Edeas has filed patents, in the United States and Europe.
